Individual Therapy
Dr. Oye-Trautloff works with patients ranging from pre-teens into older adulthood. The majority of her patients are adolescents and adults who are seen on an individual weekly basis. Patients are seen 1-3x a week depending on patient needs and treatment. Patients usually begin therapy on a weekly basis and will decrease sessions as they continue to show progress.
Dr. Oye-Trautloff is an in-network provider with a few insurance companies but it is encouraged that patients confirm with their insurance that she is in their current network plan. For patients who want to utilize insurance, but Dr. Oye-Trautloff is not in-network, she would be considered and out-of-network provider to which she can provide patients with a superbill so they may seek reimbursement. JOT Psychology accepts credit cards, cash, and checks. Patients are also able to utilize their Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for payment.
Patients are seen either in-person or via telehealth (video/phone) sessions. While telehealth has many benefits, depending on the level of support a patient may need, telehealth may not be appropriate.
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidenced based treatment often used to help patients process trauma. The goal of EMDR is to help patients heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences through the use of bilateral stimulation. For patients interested in EMDR, Dr. Oye-Trautloff currently utilizes this specifically for the maternal mental health population at this time. This includes but is not limited to grief and loss, difficult birth, and labor and delivery trauma. Dr. Oye-Trautloff is currently in training for EMDR and continues to accrue hours of consultation working in this specific population.
Speaking Engagements
As mental health and wellness continues to grow, the desire for understanding on how to implement this into our lives, careers, and relationships becomes more important. Dr. Oye-Trautloff is passionate in being able to not just work individually with patients, but also in being able to provide knowledge and education to an audience around how this can be put into practice in a practical and realistic manner. Some of the topics that she enjoys speaking about include emotion regulation, distress tolerance, incorporating self-compassion, building mental toughness, and emotional intelligence.
Psychological Evaluations
Psychological evaluations are a useful tool to help further assess and clarify diagnoses in addition to providing recommendations for treatment. These evaluations are utilized to help in understanding the severity of an individual’s symptoms and functioning, personality, cognitive strengths and weaknesses, fitness for duty, or family readiness (i.e. adoption).
